Pima’s Self-Study Committees are working diligently to assess the College’s compliance with HLC standards.  The 2014-2015 progress chart above will be updated frequently to show our progress in each category of activity through percent completed. The list below includes some of the specific activities contained in each category.

2013 Completed Tasks

Foundation

  • Design: committee structure and charges defined.
  • Recruitment: student, employee and committee members recruited to participate in self study.
  • Kickoff: committees begin work.

Research

  • Compliance: committees identify policies and procedures that demonstrate PCC's compliance with the Higher Learning Commission's Criteria for Accreditation.

Evaluation

  • Gap Identification: committees identify areas where insufficient evidence exists to demonstrate PCC's compliance with the Criteria for Accreditation; fast-action teams are formed to remedy gaps; remediation plans are accepted and approved.

Writing

  • Assumed Practices Monitoring Report Composed and submitted to Higher Learning Commission.
  • Annotated outlines submitted
