Improvement Projects
Desert Vista Pueblo Building Culinary Classroom
March 4 through June 4, 2013, in-house staff and contractors will renovate classrooms A155 and A156 for the culinary project. A small portion of A156 will be accessible to staff. Barricades will designate the construction area. There will be construction noise but disruptions should be minimal. Watch for workers moving equipment and supplies from the eastside service road to the Pueblo Building. Please plan accordingly. [view maps]
District Office Routine Maintenance - Interior Painting
April 15 through May 17, 2013, staff painters will perform routine painting maintenance at the District Office, Building D. Painting will occur in rooms and hallways at the convenience of the District Office staff. Disruptions will be minimal. Please plan accordingly.
Downtown Campus Science and Technology (ST) and Arts and Humanities (AH) Roof Coating
February 11 through June 4, 2013, staff will roof coat the ST and AH Buildings. There will be noise from the compressor. Please plan accordingly.
Northwest Campus New Building Expansion
November 29, 2012, work began on the construction of the new three story science lab and classroom building. The building site is southwest of Building E. A portion of the parking lot across from the building site is being used for the contractor’s staging area. There is no access to the construction site or staging area. Watch for workers moving equipment and materials. There is construction noise and dust. [view map]
Northwest Campus Building C, Second Floor - New Bookstore Construction
May 15 through August 2, 2013, contractors will renovate the north portion of Building C, second floor, for the new bookstore. There will be construction noise and some dust. Watch for workers removing debris and moving in equipment and supplies on the second floor exterior walkway. [view map]
Northwest Campus Building D, Second Floor - Student Life Renovation
May 1 through August 2, 2013, contractors will renovate the second floor of Building D for the planned Student Life area. There will be construction noise and some dust. Watch for workers removing debris and moving in equipment and supplies on the second floor exterior walkway. [view map]
West Campus Erosion Control
May 20 through May 24, 2013, staff will install erosion control structures in the landscaped area of the median at the south entrance. Traffic will be reduced to one lane in each direction during this work. Watch for workers and equipment. There will be equipment noise. Please plan accordingly. [view map]
