Advising and Counseling

Advisors and counselors do more than help you choose classes. They give you personalized answers to questions on:

• selecting a career and major
• how to succeed in college
• transferring from or to another college
• job searching

We recommend that you talk with a faculty member, advisor or counselor at least once a semester to plot your educational and career course.

• Make an appointment with an advisor or counselor

A faculty member helps with information about a class, program or major.

An advisor helps with college procedures for classes, majors, unofficial degree checks and transferring.

A counselor provides assistance in college procedures, general study skills and personal concerns and crises.
