Plan to attend RockFest '08

Pima presents Rockfest '08: Rock for Tomorrow! on Friday, March 28, 2008, at the Northwest Campus Amphitheater. The event is sponsored by the Office of Student Life and is free and open to the public.

Live musical performances begin at 5 pm and will continue until 9:45 pm. Nonprofit and charitable organizations will be on-site to provide information on volunteering and other opportunities. Attendees are encouraged to bring non-perishable food items for donation to the Community Food Bank. Pima County voter registration information will also be available. Food and beverages will be available for purchase during the event.

Also: Screenings of documentary film "Invisible Children: Rough Cut" will be shown at the 10 minute mark throughout the event in the Northwest Campus Community Room (A209). The film is produced by the nonprofit group Invisible children, Inc., which was originally formed to spread awareness of the humanitarian situation facing the citizens of Northern Uganda.

Attendees may also sign up to play in a "Guitar Hero" musical game tournament hosted by Play 'N' Trade Video Games. Proceeds from a $1 tournament entry fee will help to raise money for a charity of the entrant's choice.
