United Way

A message from Interim Chancellor Suzanne L. Miles

Pima Community College is a longtime champion of the United Way campaign. Last year, PCC raised nearly $40,000 for United Way causes helping those in need, and I want to thank those who have donated in the past. PCC employees give back to the community in a wide variety of ways, and I hope that you will again support this important community fund drive in 2012.

The College offers a payroll deduction plan to those who wish to give to agencies supported through United Way. You can designate where you want your donation to go, including the PCC Foundation, which supports the College and provides scholarships to students.

United Way’s mission, building a better community in Tucson and Southern Arizona, aligns well with PCC’s mission, to develop our community through learning. Together, we can make our region a better place for everyone.

2012-13 Campaign

The 2012 PCC United Way Campaign kicks-off October 1, 2012.  Funds will be used to support programs and services in our community throughout 2013.

Have questions about:

  • making a pledge: contact the College Events Office at 206-4888 or your campus representative
  • your payroll deductions:  contact the Payroll Office at 206-4945

October 2012 - Month of Caring

During the "Month of Caring", employees can spend a work day on volunteer projects around Tucson in an elementary school setting painting, gardening, reading to children, assisting teachers with cutting or collating projects and much more!

Sign-up deadlines will vary by campus. Days of Caring volunteer hours count towards staff employee step progression.

To sign up, complete the form and give it to your campus representative.
