Author Discusses Tucson's Black Community

In celebration of Black History Month, Pima Community College will present Bernard Wilson, author of “The Black Residents of Tucson and Their Achievements, 1860-1900; A Reference Guide.”  

Wilson will talk about his book and research at PCC's Northwest Campus, 7600 N. Shannon Road, on Wednesday, Feb. 20.  The free presentation begins at Noon in room A-207.

Mr. Wilson is a member of the Afro-American Historical & Genealogical Society of Tucson and ARK-LA-TEX Genealogical Association, Inc. of Louisiana.  His also the author of other Black histories, including, “There and Back: The Givens’ Family” and “A Voyage Back to Find the Wilson Family and the Journey Forward.”
