College Hosts Free Physics Phun Nite March 7
February 18, 2008Pima Community College will host its annual Physics Phun Nite on Friday, March 7. The event is a family favorite, teaching scientific principles in a fun, kid-friendly atmosphere. Admission is free and is open to all ages. The event will be held from 6:30 – 8:00 p.m. at the college’s West Campus Center for the Arts, 2202 W. Anklam Road. The presentation will feature physics and science related demonstrations. Attendees will see flying sparks and flaming tornados; see how liquid nitrogen ice cream is made and watch other exciting examples from biology, chemistry and physics laboratories.
