Pima Opportunity Grant

Based on financial need, Pima Opportunity grants pay part or all of your PCC tuition and fees. PCC awards these grants based on established criteria as long as Pima Opportunity grant funds are available. Eligible students are contacted directly by the college with instructions on how to apply.

If you are eligible for this grant, PCC will notify you by

  • a PCC student e-mail.
  • a MyPima personal announcement.

Grant Criteria

Note: Information submitted will be verified, including GPAs and EFCs.

You must

  • have a 2.5 cumulative GPA or a minimum score of 450 on the GED.
    If you are not a current student, use your high school GPA and fax a copy of your transcript to 520-206-4788. Clearly write your PCC student ID number at the top of the transcript.
  • not be receiving financial aid from any other post-secondary institution.
  • not be eligible for PCC staff or dependent tuition waivers.
  • be registered for a minimum of six credits in fall 2014.
  • be eligible for in-state tuition rates.
  • have a completed FAFSA application on file and an Estimated Family Contribution (EFC) range of 4,301 - 6,700.

Application Process

If you are eligible for this grant, we will notify you by PCC student e-mail and a Personal Announcement that displays on the MyPima Home tab. We will give you directions to complete an online form.

Award Funding

Funding for these awards are for one academic year (fall and spring semester), unless otherwise indicated, as long as you maintain the academic requirements. You may receive a maximum of two years of support (four semesters); however, you must re-apply for the second academic year.

Please note: If you accept this award, it may impact your total financial aid package. Contact any Financial Aid Office for information about your financial aid.
