Day Tours in Mexico

New to the area?  Looking for an enjoyable learning experience exploring special, out-of-the-way places?  Knowledgeable, skilled guides lead small groups on our one-day tours, allowing maximum interaction with the guide and the other tour members.

Transportation is provided via 12-passenger vans on most tours. Unless otherwise indicated, tours leave from Tucson, Community Campus (CC), 401 North Bonita Ave., Tucson, Northwest Campus (NWC),7600 N. Shannon Rd., and the Community Performing Arts and Learning Center, 1250 West Continental Rd., Green Valley.

International Tours:

U.S. Citizens:
Proof of U.S. citizenship/residency is required. Either a current U.S. passport, original birth certificate, or naturalization certificate, with picture identification (e.g. driver's license, school identification card) serves as proof.

NOTE: Per the U.S. State Department, effective January 1, 2008, passports or other approved documents, may be required for all air, sea, and land U.S. border crossings.

Non-U.S. Citizens/Residents:
Must show appropriate identification documentation. If you have questions, contact your consulate.

Emergency medical insurance is included in the fees for all international tours.

Fees for visas and passports are not included in the tour prices.

ST304 - Nogales: Beyond Shopping
Go beyond the tourist district near the border crossing to explore the remarkable diversity of Nogales.  Tour three distinct residential areas, commercial zones impacted by free trade, and traditional urban landscapes that reflect evolving tastes and cultural values among residents and visitors to this busy border city.  Includes the opportunity to do some shopping along Obregon Street and lunch (not included in fee).

ST335 - Kino Missions: Main Roads
Visit the burial place of Padre Kino and other sites in Magdalena; San Ignacio, site of one of the two most important Jesuit missions in the Arizona-Sonora Borderlands; and the church of San Jose de Imuris, with a regionally famous "Black Christ" crucifix removed from Tucson by Mexican soldiers when Arizona became part of the U.S. Includes lunch.

ST336 - Kino Missions: The Altar Valley
Visit the "other" Kino Missions.  This one-day tour features visits to missions and churches at Caborca, Pitiquito, Oquitoa and Tubatama, with short stops at Atil and Santa Teresa.  We'll stop for a picnic lunch along the way.
