D2L having intermittent login problems, slowness

Access to D2L has been restored.  Staff will continue to test and monitor the system to ensure the problems have been fully resolved.

D2L is continuing to have issues, we expect it to be intermittently unstable and periodically inaccessible as the software vendor implements changes to the technology. The vendor will notify us when the system has been restored to full service.  We apologize for the inconvenience.

D2L is currently unavailable.  The vendor is implementing a fix to address recent problems with the system. 

Update 1/31 9:22 a.m.

D2L is still experiencing intermittent problems.  Slowness and error messages have been experienced by D2L users. The vendor is continuing to seek resolution to the problem.  We will continue to keep you updated.

The vendor reports that D2L is now accessible and significant fixes have been implemented. Both the vendor and the College will continue to monitor performance and provide updates if there is any further change.

Update 1/30 8:44 p.m.

The vendor continues to work on resolving D2L problems.  They have taken the system completely down and don't anticipate return to service until late tonight or early tomorrow morning. You will not be able to access D2L until this time.

Students and faculty trying to access our D2L site are experiencing difficulty logging on, and very slow response time when they log in successfully.

D2L is very aware of the issue, and consider it their highest priority; it’s an issue that’s affecting multiple institutions. They’re in the process of implementing solutions at the moment but are anticipating that some of these solutions may take the remainder of the workday.
