Board of Governors Approves Grant Proposal for Entrepreneurship Program

Tucson, AZ – The Pima Community College (PCC) Board of Governors Wednesday approved a grant proposal that if funded would provide entrepreneurship education to students from PCC and institutions in Canada and Mexico.
At its regular meeting, the Board approved the proposal for the NAFTA-Preneur: Developing Student International Entrepreneurial Skills Within a Cross-Cultural Environment. The proposal would create an exchange program for 16 students each from the U.S., Canada and Mexico, who would receive entrepreneurial training while experiencing other customs and cultures.
The next scheduled meeting of the Board will be the Annual Meeting on Tuesday, January 11, 2011, at 5 p.m. in the PCC District Office Community/Board Room at 4905 E. Broadway. The Board’s regular January meeting will begin at 7 p.m.
