College hosts groundbreaking Feb. 17 at former Roberts Elementary

Pima Community College is having a groundbreaking ceremony Friday to mark the start of renovations for the soon-to-be home of the Adult Education division and the Public Safety and Emergency Services Institute.
What: Roberts Groundbreaking Ceremony
Where: Courtyard of former Roberts Elementary School, 4355 E. Calle Aurora
When: Friday, Feb. 17, 2012, 11:30 a.m.-1 p.m.
The event begins with a reception, followed by a welcome and remarks from various dignitaries, including 29th Street Corridor Coalition member Rene Gastelum, Tucson Unified School District Assistant Superintendent for Government Programs and Community Outreach Dr. Lupita Garcia, PCC Board of Governors member David Longoria and PCC Provost and Executive Vice Chancellor for the College, Dr. Suzanne Miles. Following the groundbreaking ceremony, tours will be given of the building, to be called Roberts Center.
