Public Lecture: Making a Difference Worldwide

Pima Community College presents a free public lecture by Anne Franklin, Mathematics Faculty. Anne Franklin will discuss her work with Habitat for Humanity International and its Global Village program.
Her presentation will focus on Humanity Build projects in Africa, where she participated in construction projects in Zambia, Kenya and Malawi. Franklin will be leading a team to a rural area in Nepal this summer.
Franklin has taught mathematics for more than 20 years at PCC, as well as occasional French and honors classes. She was the mathematics department chair for four years and is now the chair of the science department at the Downtown Campus.

The Speakers’ Series is sponsored by the Provost and Executive Vice Chancellor for the College, Dr. Suzanne Miles, and the PCC Faculty Senate. The next presentation is April 3. Michael Stack, art faculty, will give a presentation on visual art in its seemingly infinite varieties.
