PCC officers on DUI Task Force detail

Officers from Pima Community College’s Department of Public Safety will join other area law enforcement officers on a DUI Task Force detail March 15-17 from 8 p.m. to 4 a.m.

PCC’s DPS officers on the task force are working overtime and are not assigned to a campus during the enforcement. They are available to assist at PCC sites if there is an emergency.

PCC officers are participating under a partnership with the Governor’s Office of Highway Safety (GOHS) to reduce incidents and accidents, as well as to educate the public on the dangers and consequences of driving under the influence, and to promote and enhance child passenger safety.

PCC-DPS has received $15,000 in federal funds from the GOHS to enhance DUI enforcement at PCC’s campuses and surrounding patrol areas.
