Chancellor's Recognition Scholarship
The Chancellor’s Recognition Scholarship is awarded to well-rounded, graduating Pima County high school students who have shown academic competency and made contributions in several aspects of academic and civic life. The scholarship provides one full year of full-time enrollment at Pima Community College.
The broad evaluation criteria have been developed to allow consideration of non-traditional achievements such as evidence of overcoming obstacles and persisting to achieve an objective, ability to engage and motivate others, and/or strong commitment to community development.
Eligibility for Chancellor’s Recognition Scholarship
- minimum high school GPA of 2.75
- documentation of in school or community activities
- letter of recommendation from a high school counselor or teacher that addresses the student’s potential for college success and leadership.
How to Apply
Application forms for the 2009/2010 academic year will be available early in the Spring 2009 semester.
