Title V

Title V is a program through the U.S. Department of Education that helps Hispanic-Serving Institutions, such as PCC, improve their services.

Title V helps programs within colleges develop and grow to better serve Hispanic and low-income students.

Current grants

Pima Community College currently has the following Title V grants:

  • The Desert Vista Campus received $2.6 million dollars to improve student success and retention through the redesign of coursework and the implementation of a variety of learning strategies. The funding also provides for the integration and expansion of student resources on the campus. Learn more about the Desert Vista Title V initiative.

Recently completed grants

Other recently completed Title V grants were awarded to:

  • Desert Vista Campus - for the Avionics and Early Childhood Education programs and to provide matching funds for a campus endowment.
  • West Campus - to update, expand and enhance the Nursing, Respiratory Care and Radiologic Technology programs.
  • Downtown Campus - to improve attrition rates through increased use of instructional technology.
