Human Resources – Employee Services

In support of the College's Mission and Vision, the Human Resources Department is responsible for implementing strategies and policies relating to employees and applicants.

The guiding purpose of the department is to implement the organization's human resources requirements effectively but also pragmatically, taking into account legal and ethical matters in a manner that retains the support and respect of the workforce.

Human Resources strives to attract, hire, develop and retain diverse and quality faculty and staff through excellence and innovation in HR leadership, practices, partnerships and strategies. These types of innovative solutions empower the College’s workforce to constantly improve and enhance the student experience.

HR’s Current Focus

The department’s primary focus is currently placed on retaining accreditation through the College’s accrediting body, the Higher Learning Commission (HLC).

Human Resources is engaged in a holistic review of its processes, procedures, and practices to determine areas that require changes and enhancements in alignment with the HLC’s criterion for accreditation.

While the department recognizes that day-to-day operations must continue and be supported, all remaining resources have been reallocated to assist in ensuring HR’s compliance for the HLC’s September site visit.

Many HR forms and documents that relate specifically to existing employees of the College can be found on the Intranet within MyPima.
