Leader's Training Course
This 28-day, world-class leadership development experience gives undergraduates hands-on training in leadership and basic military skills. It is a dynamic, demanding course that uses physically challenging activities to train and develop leadership in students that attend. Activities such as land navigation, rappelling, shooting and high-ropes course demand good physical conditioning and a teamwork attitude.
The Leader's Training Course is held during the summer at Fort Knox, Kentucky and consists of four phases: Soldier First, Bold Leader, Warrior Leader and Future Leader. The Army covers transportation and boarding costs and pays participants.
Students who have not taken the ROTC Basic Course can earn credit by completing this course. Completion of the course qualifies students for the Army ROTC Advance Course at the University of Arizona.
